When are the Sunday Masses?
The Vigil Mass is at 5:00 pm Saturday. The Sunday Masses are at 8:00 and 10:00 am and 12:00 Noon.
When are the weekday Masses?
Monday through Friday Masses are 6:30 and 8:30 am, and Saturday at 8:30 am.
What music is played at the Masses?
The Adult Choir usually sings at the 10:00 Mass but will occasionally sing at one of the other Masses. The School Choir sings at the 10:00 Mass on the second Sunday of the month. At the other Masses, a cantor and an organist/pianist lead the assembly in song.
When are confessions heard?
Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 3:45 to 4:45 pm and on Friday and Saturday mornings 15 minutes before the morning Masses. Other times can be arranged by appointment with a priest.
Do you have a crying room in the church?
The church does not have a crying room. Parents with active infants and toddlers typically go to the narthex where they can follow the Mass through speakers and the windows.
Where is the chapel?
Our Blessed Sacrament Chapel is located through the door at the end of the narthex hall way on the right hand (south) side of the church. There is also a door from the outside that enters into the small foyer that leads to the chapel. This outside door is unlocked from before the 6:30 am Mass until the late evening, should you wish to make a visit.
What is a narthex?
Narthex is the church architectural term for the hallway between the outer and inner doors of the church. In other types of buildings it would be called a lobby.
Where are the restrooms in the church?
Looking toward the altar the restrooms are at the end of the hall on left side (the north side) of the narthex
How do I get to the church?
5751 Locust Avenue is south of Winding Way and north of Cypress Avenue in Carmichael. The church is a half block west of Manzanita Avenue. More information, including an interactive Google map, is available here.
Where is the parish office?
The parish office is in the rectory, which is located behind the church, facing Locust Avenue, on the east side of the property.
How do I register in the parish?
You can fill out the simple form at the bottom of the cover of the Sunday bulletin and place it in the collection basket. You can also register online, or you can visit the parish office.
How can I make an appointment with a priest?
Our priests each make their own appointments. You can call them at the parish office 916-483-8454. Please leave a message on their voice mail if they are not in when you call.
How do I become a Catholic?
Those who wish to become Catholic participate in a series of weekly discussion sessions for a period of time until they are ready to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. More iformation is on our Becoming Catholic page.
What do I need to do to return to being an active Catholic?
After being away from the active practice of the Catholic faith, a person should go to confession. Since such a person usually has a lot of questions and needs support, we do offer periodic discussion sessions. You can find more information on our Returning Catholics page.
