Our Catechism Class with Dr. Tom Slakey will begin the fall session on Thursday evening, September 25.  We will meet in the St. Catherine Room on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month.  The class will begin promptly at 7:00 PM and conclude by 8:30.  You will need a copy of “Catechism of the Catholic Church,” second edition.  If you need a copy, they are available in our St. John’s Gift Shop.

We encourage newcomers to attend.  Dr. Tom is a very gifted teacher whose understanding of our faith and its history is exceptional.  If you have questions, please feel free to call Ken (631-0774)

Sept 25:  Paragraphs 1066 – 1134  -  General introduction to liturgy and the sacraments

Oct 9:  Paragraphs 1135 – 1209 -  The Mass, the Paschal Mystery

Oct 23:  Paragraphs 1210 – 1321  -  Baptism and Confirmation

Nov 13:  Paragraphs 1322 – 1419  -  The Eucharist

Dec 11:  Paragraphs  1420 – 1532 -  The Sacraments of Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick
